With Cynthia to Anakena (where we baptized Ralph). Then, at night, with Marina [cl], we slipped into a wedding. We met there Kathy. As everybody was drunk, there was no problem and our intrusion was ignored… everything was perfectly distorted thanks to ‘piscola’. Then Aaron, Giulio and Marc [nl] appeared.
After all that, the rest of us standing ended in Orongo, beholding the dawn, after having some rest. I blame my happiness and subsequent pain to that hugs. Bidding Anakena farewell.
Samurai! And trekking, and making pictures. Good tour, with Kathy, Aaron and Giulio. I’m the designated driver, in a non-alcoholic way. We arrive late to Hanga Roa and to our appointment with Cynthia. Night at Anakena, bonfire included… short and intense. And confusing.
That night… we talked about life, love, and other miseries.
To the museum, and then Ahu Tahai. We end up in a small and seductive beach. As seductive as Kathy [cl], whom we meet there. And we talk, talk, talk until the sunset.
Night brings some nonsense. Taxi-loving Giulio and his failure… Bruce Douglas (worst/finest scotch whisky ever) appearing, appealing. Cat-bowling, sounds more cruel than it is (actually it was just an experiment on animal behaviour), but karma will make us pay (I would have been happy to be the cat, though).
After a bus trip with lengthy conversations with Robert, I looked for a hostel. I ended up in Zonda Hostel. I started telling the ‘Juan Єυtriaη’ story to the owner, and it turned out that he found a lot of similarities with someone that had stolen a camera from a belgian in 2oo5.
Then I showed him the picture, and he recognized him. The good thing is that the owner of the hostel had the real name and ID number, because the police was quick enough back then.
Real name: Juan Alejandro ʃaraʋia. ID: 2I.959.575.
Second day in San Juan brought me the opportunity of meeting Johanna [de] (and reading her eyes), Michael [de], Diego [ar], and some other people.
High waters, swollen rivers prevent the short trek to San Isidro -with the only option of going through the mountain, that would consume more time than I had.
Swollen rivers that caused problems when trying to flee out of the town. 2 kilometres with more than a burden, trying to reach the bus. Almost lost the next bus, but that one was also delayed.
In Jujuy, night with Juan [ar] the untrusty lier, Jorge [uy] the unfriendly worker, Jorge [cl] the calmed chilean. Ah, and the drunk german girl in charge of breaking glasses.
At least, we could beat the laziness. Trek in -another- ‘Garganta del Diablo’, this one harder… bidding Alejandra & Vanessa farewell, it was time to split. Adrián, Verónica, Fede, Fernando, Florencia. All argentinias, all from BsAs. City dudes, we almost slept in the ‘peña’, though with better music than the day before.
